SPORT:Manu Garba admits Flying Eagles were not at their best in 'vital' victory over Korea DPR
The Nigeria U20 coach felt his side could have scored more goals against the Asians, and is quick to point his boys must beat Hungary on Sunday
Coach Manu Garba conceded that the Flying Eagles did not play to their full potential in the "vitally important" 4-0 win over Korea DPR. Saviour Godwin’s brace fired Nigeria to the brink of qualification for the last-16 as they beat the Asians 4-0 at the Stadium Taranaki on Monday, despite the Chollima putting in a brave performance.
And Garba admits his side could have produced a better display while insisting he his side would be gunning for a win against Hungary.
“We have not got into our groove yet, we are only picking up gradually,” the trainer told Fifa.com
[North Korea] gave a good account of themselves, they were not better than they were against Hungary as they possessed the ball very well, but they have to improve in their finishing.
“I would have loved that we won this game by six, seven goals. All the same, the victory was most important for us.
“And on Sunday our final group game against Hungary will be a must-win,” he concluded.
